What We Do:

Our Mission “To mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.”

“The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:16, “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” The Body of Christ is made up of many diverse believers. Love INC is dedicated to linking those believers and the ministries they provide to those members of our community who need it most. In doing so, we not only provide resources, but pride ourselves on building the relationships needed to allow the Holy Spirit to begin its transformation work. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ and it is important that we focus on the Great Commission, which tells us to, “Go therefore, baptizing and teaching” as we pour into people’s lives and help them to see with God’s help they have the ability, authority and power to change their negative temporary situation into a positive permanent situation. It is more than just providing, it is pushing people to see their potential and salvation in Jesus Christ and that’s the best handout anyone can receive!”
– Rev. Michael Brown, Board President

How It All Began

Our history goes back over 40 years. Love INC was first developed in 1977 in Holland, Michigan. The concept was created to help churches be more effective in meeting needs. Love INC is now a national movement with 122 affiliates, mobilizing 5,494 churches in 29 states and in Kenya!

How It Works:

Love INC has been helping those in need in Cuyahoga County for 22 years. Love INC is primarily funded by donations and contributions from area churches, businesses and individuals. The Love INC Resource Center is the foundation of our ministry. Many clients who come to us are barely surviving. Our desire is to see them thrive, finding hope and and to ultimately be transformed by the love of Christ. When individual lives are transformed so are our communities.

1. Receive Request

Love INC receives requests for help directly from individuals and families or by referral through our network of churches and community agencies.

2. Assess the Need

Specially trained Love INC staff and/or volunteers conduct an intake to examine the nature, extent and validity of the need. They also try to discover any deeper issues that might be fueling the crisis.

3. Refers to Resources

After the client’s need is analyzed and verified, the need is referred to the most appropriate Love INC partner church, agency, or faith-based organization to provide resources, programs or services that address the need. When appropriate, clients are encouraged to enroll in our Transformational Ministry Life Skills classes. To learn more about our Life Skills classes, click the link below.

4. Follow Up

Love INC volunteers follow up with the client to see if the need was met. They also take the opportunity to provide spiritual and emotional support and try to connect the client to a local church if they desire.
