How do you get back on your feet after your life gets turned upside down?

Megan was a stay-at-home mom with two children and a husband she adored — before she faced the loss no parent wants to imagine. Two years ago, her son passed away from health complications. Then, just a couple months ago, Megan’s husband died by suicide. As Megan did not have a job while her husband was alive and working, she is now left to find financial stability and raise her child while working through overwhelming grief.

Megan’s parents moved in with her temporarily as she recovers. In the meantime, she reached out to Love INC for assistance with utility bills. With the assistance of a grant, we were able to pay her gas and electric bills down to a $0 balance.
